The Bridal House was newly founded in July 2017 in Dalton-in-Furness and has since made its way to becoming a highly recognised Bridal and Prom Boutique.
Winning a number of Best Bridal Boutique in Cumbria Awards.
Prior to opening my bridal & prom studio I was a hairdresser & makeup artist, my passion has always been making women feel fabulous about themselves and this has been carried over into my studio and is my number one goal with every customer who walks through the door.
We cater for the modern day bride in a luxury environment with affordable prices.
Our collections have a modern edge, from whimsical to sexy, think tradition with a twist!
We offer Bridal & prom bookings for you and your family to view & try on the most beautiful dresses in a relaxed friendly atmosphere with no hard sell, think of us as one of the family, our aim is to make this experience enjoyable & memorable to each and everyone of you!
We also cater for bridesmaid, flower girls, Prom and evening wear.

We offer a professional steaming service and after care of your gown along with travel and storage boxes to protect your garment.

FAQ:
What do i wear on the day?
Dress as you would normally, this helps give us a feel for your style!
Underwear - If you have nude/ivory/white underwear, wear it to your appointment! If you have a strapless bra even better and if you love your Spanx wear them!!
Do i try dresses on myself?
Noooooo, our stylists are there to assist you every step of the way.
Who can i bring with me?
We would encourage keeping your party to a 3 guest maximum, too many cooks in the kitchen spoils the broth as they say!
How far in advance do i book my appointment?
The majority of our brides visit us at least a year to 18 months in advance, We are able to sell off the peg and have some UK designers who can do rush orders if your wedding is in the very near future. Keep in mind some designers can take 4-6 months to arrive.
Do you offer refunds if my wedding/prom is cancelled?
Unfortunately we do not offer refunds on dresses for events being cancelled.
Do you offer in house alterations?
YES, The Bridal House has a self employed in house seamstress who can carry out all your alteration needs.
When do i book my alterations?
Alterations are generally carried out around 6-8 weeks prior to your wedding date, We will get in touch to let you know when your dress is ready for shipment, If you wish to book your alterations with your chosen seamstress in advance let us know the date and we will do our best to accommodate delivery date of your dress.
How much are your Bridal Gowns?
Prices range depending on designer - You can see more info on this on our designer page. We also have a selection of "Sale Off The Rack" gowns which start from £350 - If you wish to view this collection only please state when booking your appointment.
Do You charge for appointments?
We want your bridal experience with us to be as memorable as the big day, we do our best to make sure your experience is enjoyable and unique to you! We offer our full attention and focus on you with this in mind although we do not currently charge for appointments we ask you not to book until you are ready to purchase a dress.
Do you offer payment options?
We of course welcome payment in full OR you can pay 50% on the day and the remaining 50% when your dress is due to be shipped from the designer. Alternatively we offer payment plans with a minimum £250 deposit and the remainder spread over monthly payments - Please enquire for more information on payment plans.
